Mrs. Kissner was born and raised in Ohio and is an avid college football fan of THE Ohio State University and TBDBITL! She loves camping, road trips, reading, hiking and spending time with her family. Mrs. Kissner has been married to her husband David, for 10 years. They have one son and a dog, Truckee! They spend their summers providing outdoor experiences to youth and families through their non-profit.

Mrs. Kissner attended college at Warner University in Florida where she received a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Communications. Upon graduating, she moved to San Jose, CA and worked 23 years for a non-profit, drug and alcohol treatment program for juvenile offenders. The last four years at the non-profit, she was the Substance Abuse Prevention Educator at middle schools in Santa Clara County.

While in San Jose, she returned to school and earned a Master's Degree in Counseling and Student Personnel and a credential in Pupil Personnel Services from San Jose State University. She has worked as a counselor at an alternative high school and spent a year filling in as a middle school special education teacher.

In February 2022, Mrs. Kissner and family moved to Wyoming when she accepted a position as a Counselor with WCSD #1. She will tell anyone who asks, "I have the best job."
