Upon noticing that some students were in need of a haircut, Karsyn Cornatzer and Kim Accurso thought, why not bring the barber to school? After some thought, Karsyn Cornatzer put some feelers out for interested barbers. The 307 Barber (Miguel Ruelas) agreed to donate his time to local students in need of a haircut. Miguel not only donated his time and talent, but he donated all proceeds back to the WMS track program. What an awesome day!
Dear Parent/Guardian, In an effort to better serve our students we will be offering items in the lunch line for purchase at both breakfast and lunch. Students may purchase an Uncrushable Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich or a Pop Tart for $1.00, a CapriSun Apple Juice for $.75, and leftovers from the previous day for $.25. With more items coming soon! These items may be purchased with or without the purchase of a school lunch or breakfast and will be deducted from the student's lunch account balance. Spirit week had a slight twist. Mr. Hoffman has made it clear that this holiday is not for him. Wednesday was Grinch day so the staff adorned themselves to look like Mr. Hoffman. Thank you for being a good sport!

Christmas Spirit Week theme for Thursday 12/14 is Christmas Colors (Red and Green). In other news, yesterday Mr. Elf joined us for lunch, he was in the our Milk Cooler "Chilling".

Happy Holidays from WMS Staff!

7th and 8th grade students spent Thursday dissecting specimens relating to our current topics of study. Seventh grade is studying electromagnetic waves, so we dissected cow eyes to learn about how eyes process visible light. Eighth graders are wrapping up their unit on human body systems and dissected chicken wings to observe how the muscular and skeletal systems work together to provide movement.

WMS has an amazing staff that thinks about our students and plan fun and exciting events throughout the year. This year Mrs. Scheuerman has been catching The Elf on the Shelf do fun, and not so nice, activities here at WMS. Here are some pictures to show you what Mr. Elf has been up to. Students get to spot him as they walk to their classes every day, and report to Mrs. Scheuerman/Mr. Clark on what he is up to. Thank you Mrs. Scheuerman for inviting Mr. Elf to WMS this Holiday Season. We can't wait to see what he will do next week before he goes on Christmas Break.
